Homosalate is considered having a half-life in fish of less than a day (category Fast), due to estimated efficient metabolisation. Therefore, a linear model not considering bioelimination from the organism is less suitable and therefore the method of Arnot and Gobas was used to take this into account, which is built of the Method prepared for the US Environmental Protection Agency by Meylan et al. 1997 - 1999.
Thus, a more reliable BCF estimation was received predicting the BCF in fish (upper trophic level) being 224.4 L/kg ww.
