Additional information

No studies investigating the biodegradation of the substance in soil are available. The results from the ready biodegradability test (51.5% after 28 days) show that a significant degree of biodegradation of this substance in the environment can be expected. Nevertheless, as a worst-case approach, persistency of 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, di-C16-18-alkyl esters (CAS No. 90193-76-3) cannot be excluded. However, a confirmatory long-term study with earthworms did not result in any hazard up to the highest test concentration (NOEC (56 d) ≥ 1000 mg/kg soil dw).
