Additional information

Two tests on the components of the reaction mass are available. In a guideline study on Geraniol conducted in compliance with OECD 301A the ready biodegradability based on DOC removal was tested. After 3 days of inoculation a degradation rate of 90 - 100 % was determined (BASF AG, 1994). The result is supported by a study on Nerol set up according to OECD guideline 301F. The O2 consumption of activated sludge was detected for 28 days and a degradation rate of 91 % was determined (Givaudan-Roure SA, 1999).
