Description of key information

Testing proposal regarding the toxicity to terrestrial plants was submitted in the former dossier. A draft decision from ECHA was received on 15 March 2016 (ECHA comm. numb. TPE-D-2114321164-63-01/D). The process is on going.

Additional information

Adsorption and desorption behaviour of the cyclic constituent is not yet fully understood. Once that process is complete, if it is confirmed that desorption from soil occurs in vitro for this constituent of the substance, then a study in higher plants may be useful to refine the PNEC. At Annex IX, a seedling emergence and growth test is required. The test could be conducted on whole substance of known composition, representative of the supplied substance, or on a purified sample of the cyclic constituent and this would be explored as part of test planning. The acid or a sodium salt form at appropriate pH could be used in testing and the results read across to the registration substance.
