Additional information

The biodegradability of Chlorhexidine digluconate was investigated in a standard tests on ready biodegradability according to the OECD Guideline 301 D. Under the test conditions no biodegradation observed. The applied test substance concentration (6.85 mg COD/L = 5.35 mg TS/L) was below the EC20 of 6.2 mg/l (EC50 of 12 mg/L) determined in a sludge respiration inhibition test.
