Additional information

The substance does not undergo significant degradation under environmental conditions. No hydrolysis was observed in a 50°C screening study at pH 4, 7 or 9, and <10% of the substance degraded to CO2 in ready biodegradability and inherent biodegradability tests. The substance has a low vapour pressure (4.99E-7 Pa) and low Henry’s Law constant (6.09E-6 Pa-m3/mol) and therefore significant volatilization from soil surfaces or water is unlikely to occur. The substance is moderately sorbed to soil (Koc: 174 L/kg). Fugacity modelling indicates that distribution of the substance if released into the environment would be restricted to soil and water. The substance has a low predicted BCF and BAF and is rapidly metabolized in fish, and therefore is not anticipated to accumulate in aquatic or terrestrial food chains.
