OECD SIDS (2005):
The distribution of phthalimide between the organic phase of soil or sediments and the porewater was calculated by using QSAR. A Kocof 10.84 was calculated with PCKOCWIN v. 1.66 (Bayer Industry Services, 2004).Using a Kowof 1.15, the EU TGD equation forpredominantly hydrophobics
log Koc= 0.81 log Kow+ 0.10 = 1.03
results in Koc= 10.75.
These results indicate a low sorption potential of phthalimide onto the organic phase of soil or sediments according to the criteria of Litz (1990).
