Key value for chemical safety assessment

non flammable

Additional information

In the non-GLP Klimisch 1 study from Bütfering (2012), the flamability of Sodium di(1,3-dimethylbutyl) sulfosuccinate was determined according to EU method A.10.In the preliminary screening test the substance doesn’t ignite by a hot flame from a gas burner. The test item just melted.

Since the substance is typically used as aqueous solution, it can be based on experience excluded that the substance is flammable when it comes in contact with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the definition in the Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008EEC the test item is not considered as flammable.
