Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Immediately remove contaminated clothing.
If inhaled:
Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention.
On skin contact:
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and alkaline soap. Do not rub affected
parts of the body. Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
On contact with eyes:
Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open,
consult an eye specialist.
On ingestion:
Immediately rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water, do not induce vomiting, seek medical
attention.
Note to physician:
Treatment: Treat according to symptoms (decontamination, vital functions), no known specific
antidote.
Fire-fighting measures
carbon dioxide, dry extinguishing media, foam, water spray
Specific hazards:
toxic vapours
Further information:
Do not whirl around the product.
Accidental release measures
Clear area. Breathing protection is mandatory. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Wear
chemical resistant protective gloves.
Environmental precautions:
Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.
Methods for cleaning up or taking up:
For large amounts: Contain with dust binding material and dispose of. Dispose of absorbed material in
accordance with regulations.
For residues: Contain with dust binding material and dispose of. Dispose of absorbed material in
accordance with regulations.
Avoid raising dust. Cleaning operations should be carried out only while wearing breathing apparatus.
Handling and storage
Avoid dust formation. Keep container tightly closed. Processing machines must be fitted with local
exhaust ventilation. Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus. Avoid all direct contact with the
substance/product.
Protection against fire and explosion:
Avoid all sources of ignition: heat, sparks, open flame. Prevent electrostatic charge - sources of
ignition should be kept well clear - fire extinguishers should be kept handy.
Storage
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated
place.
Protect from temperatures above: 30 °C
The packed product must be protected against exceeding the indicated temperature.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection:
Breathing protection if breathable aerosols/dust are formed. Self-contained breathing apparatus.
Hand protection:
butyl rubber (butyl) - 0.7 mm coating thickness
Supplementary note: The specifications are based on tests, literature data and information of glove
manufacturers or are derived from similar substances by analogy. Due to many conditions (e.g.
temperature) it must be considered, that the practical usage of a chemical-protective glove in practice
may be much shorter than the permeation time determined through testing.
Body protection:
full protection suit with breathing-air supply (f.e. according to EN 943)
General safety and hygiene measures:
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Remove contaminated clothing
immediately and dispose of safely. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.
Avoid inhalation of dusts.
