Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog, foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical.

Product arising from burning: Anticipated to contain oxides of carbon and sulphur.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear positive pressure breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Personal protective equipment, including impervious gloves, safety glasses or goggles and dust proof mask should be worn.

The spilled material should be vacuumed or swept up and placed in a sealed container for disposal. The contaminated area should be flushed with plenty of water.

The test substance should not be allowed to flow into drains or water ways.

Handling and storage

Handling: All working methods must be designed so that exposure by inhalation of the substance is minimized. In addition, skin and eye contact with the substance should be avoided. Closed, or at least dustproof, equipment should be used during filling and metered feeding as well as, if applicable, during sampling. In the case of handling in open systems, any dust that can form must be extracted directly at the point of origin. If technical extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient, respiratory protection (e.g. :::) should be worn.

To avoid skin and eye contact, tested protective gloves (e.g. :::), safe eye protection (e.g. :::) and, if applicable, suitable protective clothing (e.g. :::) should be worn. Outdoor clothing should be kept separate from working clothes.

Storage: The test substance should be stored in a sealed container. Care should be taken to ensure the container is not damaged.
