Repeated dose exposure to trichloroethylene may result in toxicity effects on CNS, liver and kidney.

 

The following NOAELs are identified in the EU Risk Assessment Report for trichloroethylene (EU RAR, 2004):

 

NOAEL =100 ppm (inhalation) –effects on kidney

NOAEL > 50 ppm (inhalation) –effects on CNS in humans

NOAEL =50 mg/kg bw (oral exposure) –effects on kidney and liver in experimental animals.
