Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No vapour pressure could be measured. The predicted vapour pressure of FAT 40841/A TE is extremely low and is assumed as close to zero in all calculations.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure of the substance cannot be determined experimentally. The vapour pressure may be predicted by using the boiling point predicted with Meissner's method (749 °C) and using the modified Watson correlation. The predicted vapour pressure would be extremely low. However, as the substance decomposes at or above 190 °C before it starts boiling, a vapour pressure based on a predicted boiling point >190 °C seems to be of little significance. A vapour pressure of close to zero is taken into account.
