Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The biodegradation potential of 2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-6-cyano-5-[bis(ethoxycarbonylmethyl)carbamoyloxy]-1 H-pyrrolo[1 ,2-b][1 ,2,4]triazole-7-carboxylic acid-2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methyl-cyclohexyl ester (UC-141) was investigated in a study by Desmares-Koopmans (2003). This test was performed according to OECD Guideline 301B, under GLP conditions. The test substance was incubated at a concentration of ca. 18 mg/L (12 mgTOC/L), with domestic, non-adapted activated sludge for 28 days at 20 ± 2 °C. At the end of the test, UC-141 reached 13% and 9% biodegradation (replicates A and B respectively). Since the pass level of 60% was not achieved, the test substance is considered as not readily biodegradable. The results from the toxicity control containing test and reference substance (> 25% biodegradation within 14 days) indicate that UC-141 is not inhibitory to microorganisms’ activity.
