Aquatic Bioaccumulation

The highest BCF value, calculated for individual stream constituents, was 1161 L/kg,  which is below the criteria for a substance to bioaccumulate according to Annex XIII of REACH regulations. However, some constituents of the stream do have a log Kow > 4, which means that, for the purpose of classification and labelling, Reaction Products of C3 alcohols and C3 alkenes obtained as by-products from the manufacture of propan-2-ol by hydration of propylene would be considered to have components with the potential to bioaccumulate.

Terrestrial bioaccumulation

Reason: technically not feasible

Justification: Substance is a UVCB substance. Standard tests for this endpoint are intended for single constituent substances and are not appropriate for this UVCB substance.
