Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study evaluating the acute toxicity of 2-methyl-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) prop-2-enamide (SPM-N) to fish species is available (Migchielsen, 2008a). This study was conducted according to OECD Guideline 203, under GLP conditions. Cyprinus carpio was exposed to the test material in a limit test (100 mg/L nominal concentration) for 96 hours at 21 ± 2 °C. Analytical determination of the test concentration was performed using HPLC from samples collected at test start and after 96 h. After the exposure period, no mortality or any other adverse effects were observed and therefore the LC50 (96 h) was determined to be > 29 mg/L (measured concentration).
