Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results based on analysis of agglomerated particles:
MMAD: 722.154 µm
D50: 595.623 µm

Additional information

The particle size distribution of the substance 2-methyl-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) prop-2-enamide (SPM-N) was investigated using laser diffraction analysis according to BS ISO 13320-1:1999. It was extremely difficult to analyse due to large lumps and agglomerated particles present. Therefore, in order to give the best overview of the sample’s particle size distribution, two results have been reported (individual and agglomerated particles). Owing to the large particle size the sample was sieved to less than 2000 µm before analysis; for both sets of results.

Individual particle analysis: 63.23% by volume of sample was seen to be < 10.00 µm.

Agglomerated particle analysis: 25.89% by volume of sample was seen to be < 10.00 µm.
