The materials (powders) are added to the storage hoppers manually. The rest of the process is automated.
From the storage hopper, on recipe demand, material is transported to the weighing hopper. From the weighing hoppers all materials are collected together and transported to the next steps of the process.

The equipment (hoppers, storage and weighing equipment) as well the transport devices (screw mechanism, feeding) are made of stainless steel (non-corrosive metal). This characteristic is of importance to the quality of our product, as corrosion would have a detrimental effect.

The hoppers are located inside the building under controlled conditions. This is necessary to prevent blocking of the weighing process due to lump forming of the raw materials. These controlled conditions (dry environment) are also ideal in preventing corrosion. Furthermore, most hoppers have a teflon inner coating. In these hoppers powders flow more easily (accurate weighing) and there is zero contact with the RVS metal, which excludes corrosion completely.

Therefor it can be stated that during the storage of the powders in the hoppers the chance of corrosion is negligible and in most cases zero.
