Description of key information

not self-ignitable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The self-ignition potency of the substance 2-methyl-N-(4-sulfamoylphenyl) prop-2-enamide (SPM-N) was investigated according to EU Method A.16. Only the preliminary test was conducted. No endothermic or exothermic effect was recorded for the test substance sample between room temperature and its melting temperature. Therefore, SPM-N is not self-ignitable between 20 °C and its melting temperature (258 °C).
