Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
2 180 °C

Additional information

A weight of evidence approach was used to address this endpoint. The values obtained were quoted in peer-reviewed handbooks and as such were awarded a reliability score of 2 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch (1997).

The values were as follows:

Lide, D.R., et al. (2009): 2180 °C

Lewis Sr., R.J. (1995): 2300 °C.

The test material clearly has a very high boiling point that would not be achieved under normal circumstances. However, as a precautionary measure, the lower value was selected as the boiling point.
