Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental data evaluating the adsorption potential of Glycerides, C12-18 di- and tri- (CAS No. 91744-28-4) are available. Since the substance is a complex UVCB substance, QSAR estimations using the KOCWIN v2.00 program have been calculated for representative components (C12 and C18 diester and triester). Log Koc values range from 4.8 (C12 diester) to 14.2 (C18 triester)(López Parrón, 2011). The estimated log Kow values of the C12 triester, C18 diester and C18 triester components (≥ 15) are outside the Kow range of the training set of the MCI method (-2.11-9.10), and therefore the obtained values should be taken with caution. The definite values may not be fully reliable but indicate a high adsorption potential, which is confirmed by the reliable value obtained for the C12 diester component (log Koc 4.8, within the applicability domain of the method). Since the adsorption potential is expected to be higher at higher fatty acid C-chain length and degree of esterification, the log Koc value of the C12 diester component is considered a valid indicator to state that the overall adsorption potential of Glycerides, C12-18 di- and tri- is expected to be high.
