Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A test with a similar substance shows that mono- and diesters of glycerol reduce the surface tension (ST) of water significantly:

ST water: 72.75 mN/m at 20 °C

ST of 90% saturated solution with C8 -10 mono- and diglycerol: 35.1 mN/m at 25 °C

The given result show a maximum value for glycerol esters with a water solubility >1 mg/L as the most soluble substance was chosen for testing (45 -46 mg/L at 20 °C, Glycerides, C8 -10, mono- and di-, CAS 85536 -07 -8). The substance Glycerides, C12 -18 di- and tri- (CAS 91744 -28 -4) shows a water solubility of 4 -7 mg/L at 20 °C.
