Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:
EC50 (24h) and EC50 (48h) > 350 mg/l for Daphnids (OECD TG 202)

Additional information

The 48h acute toxicity of 11-aminoundecanoic acid to Daphnia magna was studied following the OECD guideline 202 under static conditions. 

Daphnids were exposed during 48h to 11-aminoundecanoic acid at nominal concentrations of 150 ; 250 ; and 350 mg/L .

Measured concentrations (HLPC UV) were at T0 of 139.5 ; 255.4 and 350.8 mg/L and at T48h of 152.5 ; 258.1 and 374.4 mg/L

In the test conditions no immobilization of daphnids was observed after 24h nor 48h. 

EC50 -24 and EC50 -48h > 350 mg/L

This study satisfies the guideline requirements for an acute toxicity study with freshwater invertebrates.

This study is classified as reliable without restrictions.

Based on the results of this study, 11 aminoundecanoic acid is not classified as harmful to aquatic invertebrates in accordance with the Directive 67/548/EC and CLP criteria.
