Additional information

The ready biodegradability of a structural analogue, tetrahydromethylphthalic anhydride (MTHPA), was studied in a Modified MITI Test according to OECD test methods. The substance was exposed to activated sludge for 28 days. MTHPA changed to the dissociated substance, which was stable under the chosen conditions. As a result, the substance is considered to be not readily biodegradable.
