Description of key information

The substance is an inorganic solid and insoluble in water. Therefore, its log Kow is expected to be << 3. Hence, the substance has no potential for bioaccumulation, and bioaccumulation of the substance is of no concern. Based on its physical-chemical properties, no further testing is required in accordance with EC 1907/2006, Annex IX, point 9.3.2, column 2.

Literature data report an LogPow of -3.26 for SnCl4. This information is considered relevant for SnS2 as well. The results indicate that bioaccumulation is not a concern for the registered substance.
