EC number: 309-870-9 | CAS number: 101316-66-9 A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained during the sorptions of toluene from a hydrocarbon fraction from cracked gasoline treated with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. It consists predominantly of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C6 through C8 and boiling in the range of approximately 80°C to 135°C (176°F to 275°F).

Data on the acute aquatic toxicity for one member of this category (CAS 68476-55-1) was obtained from proprietary sources. No reliable data was identified in the published literature. This data will be read-across to all other category members.
The studies were conducted to standard guidelines and according to GLP and so are considered fully reliable for use as key studies. Algae were found to be less sensitive than either invertebrates or fish which had similar sensitivity to the test substances (EL50 6.96 mg/l (WAF) and LL50 14.1 mg/l (WAF), respectively).
