Details on test material:
TS-Freetext:
1) In inhalation studies effects of 1,1,1-TCE on behavior
were observed. Rats exposed to 3780 ppm (20400 mg/m3) or
8480 ppm (45800 mg/m3) for 4 hours lost coordination
(ataxia) and the righting reflex, respectively
(EC50-values). In this study tremors and death were
observedat 12000 ppm (64800 mg/m3) within one hour of
exposure.

2) The inhalation of 0.9 vol% 1,1,1-TCE (9000 ppm, 48600
mg/m3) led to rapid and shallow breathing in dogs. Higher
levels (1.3 vol%) increased the heart rate and 2.8 vol%
decreased the heart rate. Inhalation of 21600 mg/m3 or
43200mg/m3 of 1,1,1-TCE for a few minutes decreased blood
pressure in dogs.
