Additional information

Based on the test results of an OECD 301 B study conducted with 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediyl dioctanoate (CAS No. 31335-74-7), the test substance can be regarded as readily biodegradable. The substance is thus expected to be rapidly degraded by microorganisms in both the aquatic and terrestrial environment. Therefore, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex IX, column 2, 9.2.1.2 – 9.2.1.4, further simulation testing for water and sediment or soil biodegradation is not necessary.
