Additional information

PNECs were calculated in line with the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapters R.10.

Data on the substance were related to acute ecotoxicity studies across three trophic levels (fish, daphnia and algae) and a chronic study on Daphnia Magna. The PNEC STP was calculated from the toxicity values seen in the ready biodegradability study.

Conclusion on classification

In accordance with the criteria set out in section 4.1.2.6 (Table 4.1.0) of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), the substance is classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment, Chronic Category 3.

This is based on the NOEC value from the available chronic ecotoxicity study on Daphnia Magna (NOEC = 1 mg/L) and the biodegradation properties of the substance (readily biodegradable).
