Additional information

The octanol/water partition coefficient (logPow) was determined by the shake flask method according to OECD 107 guidelines.

The concentration of test substance in the octanol and the water phase was determined by GC-MS following conversion of ZDDPs (zinc dialkyldithiophosphates) in each phase to halogenated derivatives with pentafluorobenzyl bromide (CASRN 1765-40-8). The derivatization process cleaves the intact ZDDP (zinc dialkyldithiophosphate) molecule in two replacing the zinc atom with two pentafluorobenzyl branches forming two pentafluorobenzyl phosphorodithioic acid molecules, each with two alkyl groups.
