Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Long-term and short term studies are available in order to determine the toxicity of one substances of the category of derivatives of 4,4’-bis(1,3,5-triazinyl-2-yl) amino) stilbene-2,2’-disulfonic acid, each with one anilino and one alkyl amino moiety to earthworms (Eisenia foetida). Those studies demonstrate that the substances belonging to the category are with a high probability not harmful to Eisenia foetida. The NOEC (14d) was >/= 1000 mg/kg soil and the NOEC (56 d) was 250 mg/kg soil. The LC50 (58 d, survival) was determined to be >1000 mg/kg soil, the LC50 (58 d, reproduction) was determined to be 520 mg/kg soil. Therefore, the substance defined in section 1 is with high probability acutely not harmful to soil macroorganisms (except arthropods).

Long-term studies (21 d) are available in order to determine the toxicity of the same substance to plants. Those studies demonstrate that the substances belonging to the category are with a high probability not harmful to plants. On Avena sativa,Glycine max (G. soja), and Lycopersicon esculentumno toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of nominally 1000 mg/kg soil dw based on germination. For the most sensitive plant, Lycopersicon esculentum, the EC50 (growth shoot dry weight) was determined to be 190 mg/kg soil dw. Therefore, the substance defined in section 1 is with high probability acutely not harmful to plants.

A study (28 d) is available in order to determine the toxicity of the same substance to soil microorganisms. The studies demonstrate that the substances belonging to the category are with a high probability not harmful to soil microorganisms. No toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of nominally 1000 mg/kg soil dw based on nitrate formation rate. Therefore, the substance defined in section 1 is with high probability acutely not harmful to soil microorganisms.
