Conclusions:
The test material, 1,3,5-triisopropylbenzene (TIPB) was determined to be non-sensitizing in guinea pigs
Executive summary:

The potential for 1,3,5 -triisopropylbenzene (TIPB) to induce dermal sensitization was evaluated using a Buehler test in guinea pigs. A total of 10 guinea pigs were used in this study. For the induction phase, material (50% in acetone) was applied topically to each animal for 6 hours, and this was repeated weekly for a total of 3 applications. Animals were challenged 2 weeks after the last induction treatment using a 12.5% solution of TIPB in acetone. Data indicate that sensitization was not observed in any of the guinea pigs, indicating that TIPB is non-sensitizing.
