Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish is determined according to OECD Guideline 203 (Fish, Acute Toxicity Test)

Fresh water fish
Effect concentration:
149 000 mg/L

Additional information

Several studies are available in order to determine the acute toxicity of CAS 1195028 and also several similar substances.

All those available 5 studies demonstrate that the substance is with a high probability acutely not harmful to fish. In one study performed with CAS 1325 -54 -8 (with the same anionic structure), the LC50 value determined is higher than 1000, whereas in the rest of the studies the values are higher than 100 mg/l.

CAS 1195028-55-7: In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on Branchydanio rerio, no toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of nominal 100 mg/L.

CAS 90218-39-6 and CAS 50814-31-8 gave the same results as the previous one. Only summary reports are available.

CAS 1325-54-8: In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on trouts, no toxic effects occurred at the test concentration of nominal 1000 mg/L. Only a summary report is available.

As at the maximum concentration tested (EC50(fish)>100 mg/l) no deaths were observed, the EC50(fish) could be considered assimilable at water solubility 149000 mg/l according to OECD guidelines.

Based on the existing information, the substance is not harmful to fish.
