Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish, no toxic effects occur in the range of the solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a short-term toxicity study of the test substance on Rainbow trout, no toxic effects occured at the test concentration of nominally 100 mg/L (mean measured concentration: 0.011 mg/L). Therefore, the test substance is considered not to be harmful to fish. The NOEC was determined to be at least 100 mg/L and the EC50 (96h) was found to be higher than 100 mg/L.

This result is supported by a Japanese guideline study (96 -h LC50 > 20 mg/L).
