Additional information

The results of this study indicated that Yoracryl Yellow RL Liquid 100 was rapidly toxic to rainbow trout (oncorhynchus mykiss) at a concentration of 100 mg/L. This concentration resulted in a median period of survival of exposed fish of approximately 25 hours and killed all ten of the fish within 48 hours. The lowest concentration of the sample which resulted in 100 % mortality of exposed rainbow trout within 96 hours was 56 mg/L. A no-observed effect concentration could not be determined from this study since the lowest test concentration (10 mg/L) resulted in 20 % of the fish dying within 96 hours.

The concentration/median period of survival relationship gradient shows that over the concentration range 32 to 100 mg/L of Yoracryl Yellow RL Liquid 100, dilution significantly increased the survival time of the fish. These results are confirmed by the estimated LC50values which were 94 mg/L at 24 hours and 23 mg/L at 96 hours. The measured temperatures in the test tanks were slightly lower than the standard minimum of 14 °C at certain times during the test. The actual temperature range was 13.9 to 15.4 °C. However, this is not considered likely to have affected the response of the fish because there was no unusual pattern of mortality associated with the lower temperatures.

Basacryl Goldgelb X-GFL flüssig has been tested for acute toxicity in the Golden orfe (Leuciscus idus)

according to DIN 38 412.
