Description of key information

Aminoguanidinium hydrogen carbonate is not readily biodegradable with 0% observed in 28 days and also not inherent biodegradable with 38% observed in 28 days.
Within 28 days a degradation of 38% was determined. Therefore aminoguanidinium hydrogen carbonate is considered to be "Not Inherently Biodegradable". The reference compound aniline showed 14 % after 1 day and 100 % after 7 days.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed
