Additional information

Two strains of Salomnella typhimurium were used to ascertain whether the substance is mutagenic or not.

Short description of key information:
The test substance was considered to be non-mutagenic.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

The Salmonella typhimurium reverse mutation assay (Ames test) evaluated the potential of the substance to induce histidine reversion inthe genomes of the Salmonella typhimurium. This direct plate incorporation assay was conducted with two strains of S.typhimurium inthe presence and absence of an exogenous mammalian activation system. Based on the criteria of the stuft protocol, the test substance is considered non-mutagenic.
