Conclusion on classification

The substance is classified for the environment for chronic toxicity (Cat 3) as the substance is not readily biodegradable. The substance does not fulfill the criteria required for classification as an acute aquatic hazard.

The lowest EC50 value is 26 mg/L in Rainbow trout, the substance is not readily biodegradable but the Log Kow is > 9.4 and in accordance with ECHA Guidance on Information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R11: PBT assessment (page 28) on determination of bioaccumulation potential states: The aquatic BCF of a substance is probably lower than 2000 L/kg if the calculated log Kow is higher than 10.

EPIWIN QSAR calculations of BCF on the components show that the majority of the substance has a BCF < 500 L/kg.
