Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The LC50 value of 4-fluoroaniline to Fathead minnow during a 96hr flowthrough exposure is 16.9 mg/L and 23 mg/L
Executive summary:

The LC50 value of 4-fluoroaniline to Fathead minnow during a 96hr flowthrough exposure is 16.9 mg/L and 23 mg/L. Though short term toxicity values to aquatic species indicate that the chemical could be classified for aquatic toxicity, but since 4-fluoroaniline is readily biodegradable in water and also is very water soluble and given the large dilution possibility in the aquatic environment, it is concluded that 4-fluoroaniline shall not exhibit toxicity to the aquatic organisms and the aquatic environment.
