Description of key information

No toxicity tests using aquatic invertebrates were available for Di-EPh.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Di-EPh is classifed as readily biodegradable with a low potential for bioaccumulation. The risk assessment shows that the PEC/PNEC ratio is clearly <1 in surface water, indicating no need for further information or testing. According to REACH Annex IX requirements, long-term toxicity testing shall only be considered when the chemical safety assessment indicates the need for further investigations. Hence, long-term testing with aqauatic invertebrates can be waived for Di-EPh.
