The toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was studied in an acute immobilization test on Daphnia magna accroding to OECD 202. The daphnids were exposed to the test compound over a period of 48 hours in a limit test at the solubility limit (9.3 mg/L). No effects were observed in the test organisms. Thus, the EC50/48h in Daphnia magna is higher than a saturated solution of the test compound. The test was performed according to GLP (report X153, study TX96148).

The toxicity to aquatic plants was studied in an algal growth inhibition test according to OECD 201. Green algae Demodesmus subspicatus were incubated with the test compound over a period over 72 hours at concentrations of 0.07 to 5.31 mg/L. There was a concentration dependent inhibition of growth from concentrations of 0.27 mg/L onwards. The EC50 for the growth rate was 2.4 mg/L, the NOEC was 0.13 mg/L. The test was performed according to GLP (report A09315).
