Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The hydrolysis behaviour of Canrenone was examined at different pH values. At pH 4 the test substance is hydrolytically stable, at pH 7 it is hydrolyzed very slowly and at pH 9 the substancance is hydrolyzed with a half-life of 6.4 days. The hydrolysis is therefore base-catalyzed. For pH 9, the rate constant (25 °C) of 0.004484 h-1 and a half-life t1/2 of 6.4 d were determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
6.4 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The half-life for hydrolysis was determined at pH 9.
