Conclusion on classification

The substance is not classified in the Annex I of Directive 67/548/EEC. According to the information summarised below, no classification for the environment is needed: 

- No acute effects have been found in the studies for the three trophic levels fish, daphnia and algae.

- Concerning long-term toxicity, no effects were observed to algae with a 72h-NOEC of >100 mg/l, based on nominal concentrations.

- The substance is not readily biodegradable.

- The substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation. Rapid hydrolysis of the substance (and isocyanates in general) makes approximation of equilibrium in the environment impossible resulting in a low potential for bioaccumulation. 

With the data listed above, the substance should not be classified according to DSD (Directive 67/548/EEC) and GHS (Regulation EC 1272/2008 including Commission Regulation EU-286/2011).
