Conclusion on classification

1 -Chlorododecane is considered to be readily biodegrabable (see chapter 5). The acute toxicity on invertebrates of 1-chlorododecane has been shown to be 0.013 mg/L. This finding is supported by results from proprietary data on reliable studies with green algae and a chronic study with daphnia. Therefore, the available data trigger a classification of 1-chlorododecane to short-term aquatic hazard, category 1 (LC50 or EC50 <1 mg/L, biodegradable) and chronic aquatic toxicity, category 1 (NOEC <0.01 mg/L) according to CLP regulation and UN-GHS regulation.
