First-aid measures

Exposure by inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

Exposure by skin and eye contact: Wash skin with soap and plenty of water. Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.

Fire-fighting measures

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use water spray, dry chemical foam or carbon dioxide.
SPECIAL FIRE-FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Evacuate personnel to a safe area. Keep personnel removed and upwind of fire. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective equipment.
ADVISE FOR FIREFIGHTERS:
-Special protective equipment for firefighting: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.
-Additional information on fire-fighting: Immediately evacuate personnel to safe areas. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.

Accidental release measures

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:
Personal precautions: Evacuate personnel, thoroughly ventilate area. Refer to safety precautions in Exposure Controls / Personal protection section.

Environmental precautions: Do not release to drain.

Methods for cleaning up: Transfer the spillage to waste containers labelled in the same way as the original containers. Clean the spillage area with water and detergent. Retain contaminated washing water and dispose it.

Additional information: Consult an expert on the disposal of recovered material. Ensure disposal is in compliance with government requirements and ensure conformity of local disposal regulations.

Handling and storage

HANDLING
Precautions: The substance should be handled under conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with any local regulations to avoid unnecessary exposure.
Advise on safe handling: Provide adequate ventilation as well as local exhaustion at critical locations. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Take measures to prevent aerosol and dust generation. Take precautionary measures against static discharge.
Advise on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. -No smoking-. Usual measures for fire prevention.

STORAGE
Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Protect against direct sunlight. Always keep in containers that correspond to the material of the original container.
Keep away from: Alkali (lye), strong oxidizing agents.
Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Specific control parameters: Use only in a well ventilated area.

Respiratory protection: Use only with adequate ventilation (natural or mechanical ventilation sufficient enough to provide a good aeration of the workplace). In the case of dust or aerosol formation use respirator with an approved filter.

Hand protection: Wear suitable gloves (DIN EN 374) The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. Breakthrough times and swelling properties of the material must be taken into consideration. For special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with the supplier of these gloves.

Eye protection: Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from dust. Wear eye glasses with side protection according to EN 166.

Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing.

General protective and hygiene measures: When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Separate storage of work clothes. Wash contaminated clothing prior to re-use. Wash hands before breaks and after work. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.

Engineering measures: Engineering controls are recommended to reduce exposure to the substance.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: The product is stable under storage at normal ambient temperatures.
Chemical Stability: The product is stable under storage at normal ambient temperatures.
Hazardous reactions: none known.
Conditions to avoid: Protect from moisture. Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
Incompatible material: Keep away from: Alkali (lye) Strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous Thermal Decomposition Products: Thermal decomposition will produce oxides of carbon and nitrogen.

Disposal considerations

Disposal considerations: Can be landfilled or incinerated, when in compliance with local regulations. Do not dispose of with household waste. Do not allow to enter drains.
Uncleaned empty packaging: Packs that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of in the same manner as the contents.
