In case of persistent discomfort: Consult an ophthalmologist.

In case of ingestion:
Rinse out mouth.
Consult a physician immediately.

Damage to health is thus not expected.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:
Water spray, foam, CO2, dry powder.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

Specific hazards during fire fighting:
May be released in case of fire: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitric oxides, flammable smouldering gases.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Full protective suit.

Further information:
Contaminated extinguishing water must be treated at a suitable disposal plant in accordance with waste management laws.
Fire residuses schould be disposed of in accordance with regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions:
Wear personal protective equipment.
Avoid dust formation.
Keep unauthorized persons away.

Environmental precautions:
Observe regulation on prevention of water pollution (check, dam up, cover up).
Do not allow entrance in sewage water, soil, stretches of water, drainage systems, surface water.
If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.

Methods for cleaning up:
Use mechanical handling equipment and collect in a suitable container; avoid dust formation.
Waste to be packed like clean product and to be marked. Identification label on packages not to be removed until recycling.
Disposal according to local authority regulations.
To absorb spilled substance an approved industrial vacuum cleaner is recommended. If necessary, the spilled substance should be moistened.

Handling and storage

Handling:
Safe handling advice:
Avoid dust formation.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Do not inhale dusts.
Avoid residues of the product on the containers.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Further information: VDI 2263 "Dust fires and dust explosions; dangers, evaluation, preventive measures."

Storage:
Requirements for storage areas and containers:
Store in the original receptacle, keeping this tightly sealed, in dark and dry place.

Further information:
Protect from sunlight, warmth and heat.
