Additional information

No acute invertebrate studies on toxic effects of AES (C12 -14, 1-2.5EO) NH4 (CAS 125301 -88 -4) are available. Therefore, a read-across approach from two structural comparable AES (C12-14, 2.5EO) mixtures was applied.

The first study was performed according to OECD guideline 203 and in accordance with GLP requirements (Sasol, 1993). In this study Daphnia magna were exposed to different concentrations of AES (C12 -14, 1-2.5EO) Na (CAS 68891-38-3). Under static conditions an EC50 (48 h) of 7.4 mg a.i./L (nominal) was determined.

In the second GLP-study Daphnia magna were exposed to AES (C12-14, 1-2.5EO) MIPA (CAS 1187742 -72 -8) according to the OECD guideline 202 (Sasol, 1999).The resulting EC50 (48 h) was 7.7 mg/L (nominal).
