Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The LC50 (96 h) was determined to be >1039.9 mg/L (meas.) in a GLP study according to OECD TG 203 using Pimephales promelas as test species (Eastman 1995). The exposure conditions were static. The test concentrations remained stable over the exposure period of 96 h (98 to 105% of nominal concentrations). No mortality occured. The fish showed no symptoms.

This result was supported by a non-GLP study according to German industrial standard test guideline DIN 38412 part 15 with Leuciscus idus as test species. The 96h-LC50 was determined to be > 4640 < 10000 mg/L (nominal; BASF AG, 1987, 10F0270/87175). The exposure conditions were static. Test concentrations were not analytically verified, but can be assumed to have remained within 80 to 120% of nominal concentrations based on the results of the key study (Eastman 1995).

Based on these results the substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to fish.
