Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test material to fish was investigated in Oncorhynchus mykiss (rainbow trout) in accordance with standardised guidelines EPA OPP 72-1 and EPA OTS 797.1400. During the test the fish were exposed to the test material at nominal test concentrations of 0, 130, 220, 370, 600 and 1000 mg/L under semi-static renewal conditions; all tests were conducted using water soluble fractions. Under the conditions of the study, it was concluded that the effects observed during the study were concentration-dependent. Based on nominal concentrations of test material, the 96 hour LC50 was calculated by probit analysis to be 190 (170 - 220) mg/L. The NOEC was determined to be 130 mg/L. The study was performed in line with GLP and accepted standardised guidelines with a high standard of reporting. However, it is scored a Klimisch 2, reliable with restriction, based on potential solubility issues in the preparation of the test material solution.
