Description of key information

The lower explosive limit and upper explosive limit of the substance Hydrocarbons, C9-C10, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2-25%) have been estimated by extrapolation from published data as respectively 0.6 and 7.0 % v/v.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
flammable

Additional information

The substance being a liquid, the flash point has been considered to determine its flammability on contact with a flamme, in accordance with REACH guidance R7.1.10. Considering the chemical structure and the experience in handling and use, pyrophoric properties and flammability on contact with water can be ruled out for this substance.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The flash point being ≥ 23°C but < 60°C (see section 4.11), the substance is considered as flammable in accordance to CLP regulation CE 1272/2008.
