Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The hydrolysis study was conducted using OECD guideline 111.
pH 4-half-life > 1 year at 25C.
pH 7-half-life 593 days at 25 C.
pH 9- Complete hydrolysis

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

At pH 4, the test material was stable in the preliminary test with <10% hydrolysis at 50C over 5 days, indicating a half-life > 1 year at 25C.

At pH 7, the test material hydolyzed slowly with pseudo 1st order kinetics, indicating a half life of 593 days at 25C.

At pH 9, the test material hydrolyzed, but the loss of test material did not follow pseudo 1st order kinetics. This means the time to lose half of the test material (DT50), is concentration dependent. Table below for selection of initial concentrations using a non 1st order model (the concentrations represent the working level of the test and 50% and 10% of the working level.)
